In Lagoa (Carvalhal), Casa Cactus overlooks the rice field’s natural reserve, offering incredible bird watching opportunities. The garden offers a 120 meter long access to the views and the
nature. « Cactus » is a cabana combination of three separate bedrooms, a vast living room and a modern kitchen, along with a pool, and wide decks. Carvalhal beach is 3 minutes car ride. For all the sporty ones out there, you can have easy access to the beache as it’s only a 10 minutes walk.

The Pool
Don’t feel like going to the beach ?
Don’t worry this swimming pool offers uninterrupted views over rice fields. Framed by rustic wooden decks and natural greenery, the pool becomes a seamless extension of the countryside. Whether under crisp blue skies or dramatic cloud cover, it invites long, tranquil swims and lazy afternoons in total harmony with nature. It’s not just a pool—it’s a front-row seat to one of the Alentejo coast’s most peaceful panoramas.
Please note that none of the pools are equipped with covers — kindly consider this when traveling with small children.
The Garden
Surrounding the house in Carvalhal, this lush Mediterranean garden is a haven of calm and texture. Native plants and tropical varieties blend effortlessly, with sculptural agaves, soft grasses, and pops of bird-of-paradise adding color and rhythm. Wooden walkways wind through the greenery, leading to shaded pergolas and quiet corners made for lounging. It’s a space that feels both wild and curated—designed to disappear into nature while offering total comfort and privacy.
